Product Information

Insomnia is a sleeping disorder that affects many people worldwide. This sleeping disorder make it difficult for a person to fall asleep, difficult in staying asleep, or cause one to wake up too early and won’t be able to fall back asleep again.

Zopicon is a medication used to help patients with insomnia. Zopicon contains 7.5mg of the active ingredient Zopiclone. Zopiclone is a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic drug that actually produces similar effects as benzodiazepines. This drug causes sleepiness by acting on brain activity, suppressing excessive activity in the nerve cells. It binds to the benzodiazepine receptor complex or specifically to the alpha subunit of GABA receptor, to increase the inhibitory actions of GABA and produce its sedative, hypnotic and anxiolytic effects.

Through its actions, Zopicon helps to reduce the time it takes for one to fall asleep and increases the length of sleep.

Zopicon is manufactured by Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Zopicon tablets must be taken strictly as prescribed by a physician. The dose, the frequency and duration of therapy will vary based on the medical problem being treated per individual.

Below are the recommended doses of Zopicon:
