Obesity is a medical condition where a person has excessive amount of body fat that may increase the risk of other health problems like diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. Increased physical activity, dietary changes, prescription medications and surgery are options for losing weight and treating obesity. Body Mass Index (BMI) is a screening tool to determine if a person is overweight or obese. Those with a BMI of 25 to 29 are overweight and those with a BMI of 30 and above are considered obese.
Orlistat is a drug used to help with weight loss and help to prevent regaining the weight already lost. Euslim contains 60mg of the active ingredient Orlistat, which is a medication used as a long-term treatment for obesity. It works by targeting fat in the digestive system preventing is from being absorbed by the body. It blocks about a quarter of fat in meals from being absorbed which will then be excreted from the body in stools. These capsules can help assist in losing more weight together with proper dieting as compared to dieting alone. Orlistat can help one lose 1kg more per 2kg lost from dieting.
Euslim 60 is manufactured by Cian Health Care Pvt. Ltd.
People with known allergy to Euslim, its active ingredient Orlistat and all its inactive ingredients must not take this medication.
Euslim is contraindicated to patients with the following medical conditions:

This medication is contraindicated to pregnant women even if they are overweight or obese. It is also contraindicated to breastfeeding women as the drug can prevent proper absorption of necessary vitamins for nursing babies. It is also contraindicated to patients taking medications like cyclosporin and warfarin.
