Product Information

Hepatitis B is caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) that infects the liver. This infection may be acute which lasts for only a short time and it may be chronic which is long term and over time may damage the liver. Babies and children are more prone to chronic hepatitis B. Some people infected with hepatitis B may not know it because of no symptoms, but others may experience flu like symptoms. Hepatitis B may be transmitted by infected bodily fluids (semen and saliva) and infected blood through unprotected sexual contact, sharing of personal items like razors or toothbrush, sharing of drug needles, and even childbirth.

iCare Hepatitis B Rapid Screen Test is a home test kit that will provide a private, quick, and accurate result to detect Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) in the blood in helping determine if one is infected with Hepatitis B virus. Results from this test kit can be achieved in as fast as 15 minutes.
