Product Information

Penile erection is a process that starts in the brain. While being sexually stimulated, the chemical nitric oxide is released to activate the enzyme guanylate cyclase for cGMP synthesis in the smooth muscles of the corpus cavernosum. cGMP triggers smooth muscle relaxation to increase blood flow to the penis, thus resulting in an erection. Erectile dysfunction occurs when various physiological or psychological factors prevents a man from getting and maintaining an erection.

Valetra is an oral medication used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It contains 40mg of Vardenafil as its active ingredient which belongs to the drug class called PDE5 inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the enzyme cGMP-specific PDE5 from breaking down cGMP in the corpus cavernosum of the penis. This action increases the amount of cGMP that will cause relaxation of smooth muscles to widen blood vessels then increase blood flow to the penis and cause an erection.
